ECU in tamper mode killing my fuel injection? [1998 sunfire 2.2l)
I will keep this brief, but in trying to bypass the passlock system being triggered in
my Sunfire I seem to have hit a brick wall. I know that if the system is triggered it
will shut off power to the fuel pump. I jumped past the security check and supplied
direct power to the pump but am still unable to get the car working. Is there any
further security beyond the system cutting power to the fp? Does it also affect my
fuel injection system? I appears that my injectors are getting cut off The timing
seems to be fine as I am not losing spark and the engine will run as long as it's
getting fuel (spraying into the air intake). Is there any possible way for me to
bypass the passlock system? The 3 passlock wires that connect to the ignition
cylinder were all cut by a thief back in February and I would really like to get this
thing back on the road.
