Battery too much pull OR?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car labored to turn over so I
went to auto zone, they said it
was pulling 200 under CCA that I
need. It was 50 degree, so i was
surprised. I went to NAPA auto
where I bought the battery and
they swapped for the 675 CCA.
Right away i felt like the battery
was pulling too much but i drove
it a few more days. Its 60 degrees
out and i park in a garage btw, i
ran some errands today the went
home an hour later i went back
out. It labored to start and even
back fired. Any ideas?

Did Napa sell you a 7578 battery? I work for Napa and that's what your Bonneville calls for. It has 690 CCA. The 6578 isn't powerful enough, especially if you have the supercharged 3.8L V6. Hope that helps! Jim

Yes that is the battery they sold me. I just replaced the fuel pressure regulator. It was idling rough. So far it still is. Although when I took off the old regulator I must not have let it run long enough because there was a lot of fuel that burst out when I released the clamp. I got the new one on and I'm really not sure if it helped or not. I also now have a missing cap in my engine.
