It may bolt up but the v8 will trash it. Put a 350 turbo transmission in it
The first issue is what V-8 are you planning on? Some will bolt up, some won't. If you're into swapping both out,try to find an LT-1 with the 4L60E trans. It's an easy swap, practically bolt in. It will actually be less work than trying to mate up your old trans.
