1997 Pontiac firebird trans AM lights

so i just bought a Pontiac firebird trans AM and i do not know how to flip the
lights up so i couldn't drive it tonight.... how do i get the headlights to flip open ?

They should rotate up when you turn the lights on with the dashboard switch. Sounds like the motors need to be repaired or replaced, but first check that they are getting power to them from the switch. If you need to drive the car at night, you can manually turn them to the up position. Open the hood and each light should have a knob right next to its motor. Turn the knob a few times until the linkage has the light in the up position. They will stay there and the light will turn off and on with the dash switch.
