Doing all that yourself, give yourself more credit you know more that "some".. Ok now, check you battery terminals for a good connection, including the ground to the other end from battery wherever it grounds to frame, block, chassis. If the battery is 5+ years old it's just about at the end of it's life-span. Next ignition switch, especially if over the years the previous owner had 10 keys a flashlight and a charm on the key-ring, all that weight, swinging, plays havoc on ignition switch

How do I check the ignition switch? Im cleaning all the battery cords with coke a cola now, the previous owner lied like hell to me so im not sure what he had on the key ring! But I have a couple keys an things but didnt kno that could hurt the car.

Yes, there is a plug-in device, I don't how the hell the can legally sell this thing, you could steal a car with it.. for $19 at http://overridemotorsports.com/Vats .... also there is a way but it looks like a genuine pain in the ass=== at http://vats.likeabigdog.com/
