I know this probably sounds dumb but is it possible to put turbo on the 3.4 V6? If so, what or how would I do it?

Question type: Car Customization

I was really surprised at how quick this bird moves with the V6 in it and I do like the looks it gets. Mine is purple and it jsut sort of stands out. It has 133000 miles on it now and I would either like to rebuild it, put a turbo on it or drop in a V8 when this one is ready to retire. I love the car and so does my wife. It's very fun to drive. It has the 5 speed and it takes me back to the day when I used to own a '69 Z-28 camaro, except there's no comparison to the speed. Let me know what I can do with this little lite beast.

You can reply to my e-mail, it's grmz51@sbcglobal.net. Thanks.

You know it possible to turbo about any engine. But what you have to look at is cost. The turbo kit plus it sounds like you should rebuild the old engine with it having 133K on it would be wise. The you will have to look at the V8 engine cost, plus you will need the TPI setup and computer to run it. I dont know if this is your everyday driver. Im not sure how a V6 turbo and TPI V-8 would compare in mileage.
