Check your battery connections first, when's the last time you have had a tune up?

Sounds like a loose or corroded connection either on one or both battery terminals or the other end at the starter and chassis ground.

I'm having the same issue right now. My 1992 Firebird has a good battery, good ignition coil, brand new distributor, and I was working on the timing when it died and would not start back. When I turn the key forward it shows the security light solid and will not go off. I measure the resistance on the key and it matches closely to the resistance past the ignition. I don't feel this is ECM issue as I hear the fuel pump when key is in start position. Could this be the BCM? I unplug the battery to let it sit overnight.
