Temperature not showing
Asked by Papiguru1 Aug 14, 2018 at 11:14 AM about the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta GLI FWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The outside temperature (not the cars cooling temperature)
is not being displayed and the check tire pressure light is
on but on some occasions they both start working and the
temperature it shows is -49° so my a/c starts blowing
warm air does anyone know what's wrong or how can I fix it
I tried changing the ambiant air temp sensor since it makes
the check engine light come out but it doesn't do anything

Did you find a resolution? I'm having the same issue now. I've read a few possible options but none of them seem 100% like they will work
I drive a 2012 Jetta S and am having the same issue. TPMS flashes and engine light is on when start the car. Tried airing the tires and reseting the TPMS but it wont reset and the check engine light wont go off.

Did you found solution for the temperature display issue?
I did. I followed the wires from the temperature sensor in the front bumper and they were in bad shape. Exposed wires, some taped together with packing tape. I cut the bad looking wire and spliced it back together. I do not have the metal bracket on my front bumper that the temperature sensor sits in so I ziptied it to the honeycomb grill. Sensor and front panel were fine, just needed to splice a few wires together.
