Dead radio

Asked by Trent Nov 12, 2018 at 10:19 PM about the 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet AWD

Question type: General

Batery terminals got crossed during
charging. It took out my PCM radio! No
power at all . I have checked the 15 amp in
the fuse panel under dash left side of drivers
side, pulled the radio and replaced the 10
amp on the back of the radio, still no power?
Are there anymore fuses or relays to check?
If so, where are they located? I'm at a loss,
thought I would ask here before shelling out
the big bucks to the dealer or replacing the
unit...

My 2007 Boxster PCM is static display, I have sound but no visual all happened after jumping battery. The dealer says that can’t happen. I don’t have a fix but have heard many of the same story.

I have the same problem and the gurus here said they were "stumped". I replaced my battery and then the radio was dead. I replaced the fuses inside and under hood, unhooked battery and reconnected it as advised and still no radio.... If you find out anything will you post it here? I was going to remove the radio and check wiring but you already replaced fuse at back of radio and nothing.....sigh
