Toggle switch will not raise Boxster top

Asked by Sugarloaf Aug 24, 2011 at 08:17 PM about the 1999 Porsche Boxster Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Toggle switch does not activate top to close.  No action at all.  Fusde checked and parking brake is on.  what else can I check?

Could be many things. Does the parking brake dashboard light come on when the brake is applied? Could be micro-switches in the hood frame, hood motor etc not working. This forum has many suggestions for you to check http://www.renntech.org/forums/forum/46-986-boxster-top-issues-and-solutions/

Ye's emergency brake light does come on. Owners manual says, "All three turn-locks of the luggage pocket must be engaged and correctly locked." Where is the "luggage pocket?" What are the "turn locks?" Any guidance is much appreciated.
