Why's my explorer dying or cutting on deceleration?

Asked by Scott Jun 18, 2020 at 05:34 PM about the 1995 Ford Explorer 2 Dr XL SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Guy! My 1995 ford explorer 4.0 will drive perfectly fine
under power. But as I slow to stop if almost dies. Even if I
have it in neutral the tpms drop to about 200 and it seams
like it's fuel cut or a sensor. But if I'm sitting still it ideals
just fine. I've changed fuel filter, air filter, crankshaft position
sensor, throttle position sensor, intake o ring gaskets and
ideal air control valve.  When the cars cool it wont happen.
But when it get up to temp it will do it. But only when I slow
down( about 10 to 15mph) when I bought it the alternator
was missing so I took one of a junkyard car. Battery shows
14.25 volts I believe.  So I think its charging properly.  I'm at
a loss help!
