Look at the old pads. The suspension components can be "sport" while still maintaining the regular brakes. I believe your car is fitted with 4-piston Brembo type calipers which would have been the typical brake package for that year and model. You can also contact Porsche and ask them to run the VIN number and tell you about the car. This seems to be alot of "hoopla" just for brake pads. Go on the Automotion or Pelican website and they should be able to help you.

Take the vin to the dealer and they can run a full bio on the original option codes for the vehicle. If it is unaltered, it will tell you everthing there is to know about the vehicle when delivered. Also, go to Porsche Options Decoder site on the Web at www,kindel.com and the codes are there for the most part.
