You need a jack and lug wrench. Your car does not have these things?

I suppose the battery takes the place of the spare tire. Maybe you can get a tail gate mount.

Thanks for your reply. The spare mounts under the car and is lowered by a cable under the floor board in the rear of the cargo area. I will have to buy a mounted spare tire, the cable and a jack. The car came with a sealant and air pump. not how I want to travel.

The same thing happened to me. Bought the car and it was delivered with NO spare tire, cable or jack. Trying to find a full-size replacement to have on hand. Can't believe spares are now OPTIONAL! This is the 8th new Santa Fe I have purchased and the first time this happened..

I found out when I went to the store a half mile away. Things were great on the way there, not so much on the way home. I called roadside assistance they asked if I had a spare. I thought we'll of course I do it's a new car. Roadside Asst was on their way, friend and I looked for the spare. NO SPARE. Luckily I found out at home. The dealerships never told me. Of all the safety features they leave out the spare!?!? Last Hyundai for me, and last car from BOUCHER in WI.

I went through the same thing after buying the 2022 Santa Fe hybrid and was furious when I found out it didn’t come with ANY spare. Last Hyundai for me too! I might even trade this in if I’m unlucky enough to get my first flat. I have rerouted myself so that I don’t end up who knows where when I travel. Talk about a stupid safety devise to omit!

jUST BOUGHT a 2023 Santa Fe that had a side wall puncture after 336 km and the sealant kit did not work. Hyundai said a full-size spare tire which would take up half our storage area would cost $1445. I have bought 5 Santa Fe and this will be my last. The Hyundai company is el-cheapo.

FWD 2023 Santa Fe and Tuscon's come with jack and spare tire mounted under and outside the vehicle and are released by a cable. Engineering wise a spare will not fit under an AWD under these vehicles. Nothing new you did not study before you purchased. If you have the AWD commonly called 4 wheel drive the differential which is in place for all rear wheel drives and one in front and back on AWD that spot in the rear axle takes up the room makes it impossible to fit the tire under the vehicle.
