I've never regretted a Porsche purchase. To me, a Porsche is a special marque where the cars are a piece of automotive history to preserve, whereas BMW just manufactures sporty vehicles with a certain shelf life. I have also usually sold my Porsches for the about same price or not far off my purchase price, so they cost me less to run than buying a new Ford every few years. The 964 in that condition at that price is pretty good, although the early Tiptronic boxes were not so nice as the manual gearboxes in my opinion.
1991 with 18600 miles on it? That is a good price. And Black and Tan is a good color combination. True the tiptronic of the earlier cars wasn't better that the manual, but they lived a gentler life. No missed shifts or crashing cogs from novice drivers. I'd say pull the trigger! wish I have the money to do that.
The BMW's are my work car's for years now. Porsche is now in possession. Tip is not bad, the wife likes it,she was busting on me for this obsession, now she is hooked, may have to get the 5 speed for my self now ,LOL.
The Tip is defiantly purchased for the more sophisticated crowd went introduced. This one is a knock out, happy it came to be after all this time. Detailed and ready to go! price was spot on,but for me to get my $ back I will have to keep it tucked away, hard with the wife looking for the key's on these fall day's in NY. Thank you guy's for your input. Peace.
