Asked by Zeser23 Dec 26, 2009 at 04:28 PM about the 1995 Ford Explorer 4 Dr XL 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just replaces front axles. Took for ride started shakeing the front. Check all main parts in front but everything seems tight. Here's what
is does. Drives fine. When doing over 60 and hit bumps like ones when going over an overpass the front with start a violent resonating
type shake. Once I slow to about 50 the shake stops. Also doesn't do it if I'm going less than 45-50. Any help or suggestions would be
great b

I had the same problem. I had to replace the front shocks after I had replaced them 1 year ago. Shocks don't last long on Explorers.
