95 Ford explorer xlt power window issues

Asked by BPMatus May 25, 2019 at 12:06 PM about the 1995 Ford Explorer 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Power windows on passenger front and rear and
driver rear now working. Checked fuses, relays, and
wires. Checked motor and when maually feeding
12v to motor it works fine. Noticed <1v when using any of the switches to include driver controls. I can use the driver side to do both driver and passenger front, but not the rear. Any idea where I can check for the low voltage issue? Pretty sure once that is solved my problem will be fixed.

1 Answer

Found the issue, upon taking the driver's window controls apart I found the windows lock area to be dirty and corroded. After cleaning the connections on the plates I am now able to use my windows.
