i have a 1995 ford explorer. each time i get in it to start it and go it might let me shift out of park but next time it wont let me shift out of park. Next time it might. what needs to be replaced?

The Shift Interlock Solenoid/ Actuator is more than likely the problem, and possibly the brake light switch. Stepping on the brake releases the Shift Interlock so you can shift.
