Question type: Shopping & Pricing
I'm looking to price out my mustang. If it's rare, I
might keep it. I have the 3.8, auto thats teal with a
white convertible top. I know theres not many of
those around with only 150k miles. Is it truly a
rarity, or should I get rid of it?

I buy running 94-98 v6 mustangs for $300-500 part them and crush them without remorse. The teal is a color that is not often seen. If it's in great shape you could find a 94/95 5.0 and swap the motor and all the harnesses from ecu to engine over. Or you could do a split-port swap by using heads and intake manifold from a 99-04 v6. You could also get a 97-01 ford f150 4.2L motor and swap over and gain about 40 whp over the wimpy 94-98 v6. I just finished up putting an 04 v6/5 sp into a 97 v6 vert. Used a 98 e150 fuel rail, modified the 97 engine harness, swapped over a few sensor connectors and added a 2nd ect sensor. Also swapped from auto to manual swap at the same time. Using a 98 v6 ecu and a moates quarterhorse with tunerpro rt to tune it. If that doesn't sound fun you could find an m90 supercharger from a thunderbird on it and get about the same horsepower as a splitport swap. Convertibles don't sell for as much as coupes, mainly due to finding a buyer and what area you live in. I have 3 mustang convertibles, 85 gt - 86 lx and a 97. You won't get a lot for it unless the top is in immaculate condition and the rear window motors work and nothing leaks.
