95 ford mustang 3.8 v6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a friend that swapped out his mustang's motor and replaced with a
98 Thunderbird 3.8 v6. but we cant get it turn over. they took the block
from the mustang and put it in the other motor and they  kept the all the
wiring that was already in the mustang, and since the Thunderbird motor
didn't have the camshaft positioning synchronizer they put in the the one
the mustang had. we thought that was the problem but it seems we cant
get it to go, could it be that we are not getting the right timing or do we
need to replace the sychronizer ???

May have top dead center (TDC) on the exhaust stroke instead of the compression stroke. it would all have to be separated to turn the bottom end until number one cyl goes down & comes back up. May be it It is hard to say because I was not there. I'd confirm though.
