Bad oil pump or lifters?

My 5.0 95 mustang started making a strange noise
and the oil pressure dropped completely could that
be the oil pump or the lifters?

Lifters operate on oil pressure. Most likely oil pump, clogged oil pickup screen, badly sludged engine or crankshaft bearing failure.
