The red dials in my 1994 ES300 instrument pod (rpm, speedo, gas, etc) have faded to black.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The dials do not light up at all.  They faded to black one by one.  The gages work fine, but since they are now black on black they are almost impossible to see.  Is there anything, short of replacing the entire instrument pad, that can be done?

Your bulbs in the gauges prob went out...You'll have to take the whole inside of the instrument panel out to get to the whole gauge. I'd get the mechanic book for the car from AutoZone or a car place it shows u everything i think their like $12.

On a lexus, you will have the replace/repair the instrument panel. Sadly, that cool looking effect can only be fixed by certain people. Call around locally to see if anyone can repair it or knows who can.
