Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The check engine and VSC light have come on for my 1999 Lexus ES 300.  I
had my mechanic run a computer check and the code is PO125 (Insufficient /
Time or Temperature for Closed Loop)

Any Toyota or Lexus the ECU will automatically shut off the VSC/TRAC when the OBDII detects anything wrong with the engine. It does not allow any non-driver control on brakes and throttle- which is what VSC does, apply brake or power to a wheel(s) to help maintain control. Open loop is when the ECU ignores signals from 02 sensors and defaults to a pre-set condition and when car reaches normal operation temperature goes in to normal closed loop. Long winded way of saying Rowefast is right.
