Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is this all being caused by a bad catt? Ive read all the symptoms and the only ones that related to the situation is jerky acceleration and a faint rattling noise from my exhaust

Symptoms of a bad catalytic cover would be sluggish acceleration, poor fuel economy, cats glowing red hot. Have the codes read and let us know what they are. The trac light is on because the system has been shut down. It is probably directly related to the check engine light being on.

Mine kept doing that too. I finally got rid of it. I took a gamble buying the car. It was a bad investment. I flipped it into a Toyota Prius Hybrid. I'm hoping with the gas savings, it will make of the difference of the loss.
