Cold air intake

Asked by Kaisersase Jul 12, 2016 at 10:22 AM about the 2008 Lexus ES 350 FWD

Question type: Car Customization

Can I replace my factory air filter with a
cold air intake that fits a 2008 Toyota
Camry 3.5L on my 2008 Lexus ES 350?
Would that do any damage to my engine?

Most guys won't know unless they dyno test engines BUT a "cold" air kit with an OILED filtration (filter) reduces performance as the filter oil works its way upstream and onto the MAF! Yep! Now the air fuel air fuel ratio is altered... KEEP, in mind this is 2-3 HP MAX BUT HEY THEY LOOK COOL!
