replacing rear-view mirror

tried to reattach rear-view mirror using adhesive from parts store. mirror fell off when i placed it on the button. Is there a special glue because it has to stick to the back of the rain sensor

I know the Toyota / Lexus rear view mirrors fall off its an issue.There is a special rear view mirror adhesive. Regards
