That depends on what filter your talking about, if it’s the cabin filter then no it won’t help fuel mileage. If your talking about the charcoal canister then it might but you will have to find out why it went bad in the first place, bad check valve broken line, etc.

The only proven method or procedure for accomplishing good "Gas Mileage" are: Do not exceed or go beyond half of Vehicle load Limits, reduce unnecessary aerodynamic drag, keep engine RPM down, Use of the recommended fuel, Do not overfill the fuel tank, Do not overlook Vehicle Maintenance, Specially: Engine Air Cleaner/Filter, Spark Plugs, Fuel Filter, Keep tires Inflated. thanks
