Engine won't crank after automatic transmission was replaced

Asked by AdamBookman Jun 27, 2016 at 04:28 AM about the 2005 Saturn ION 3

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After buying a used tranny, and having a family friend/mechanic change out
the tranny he could not get the car to start.  It would not crank or anything.
The battery was fully charged and good connections, and we replaced the
ignition switch with no luck.  The car has been sitting for quite a while, and I
really really really need help.

If everything looks good, I would take a close look at the starter wiring connections.
