Genuine Toyota / scion parts - how to identify

Asked by Sakol Jul 09, 2017 at 12:03 PM about the 2005 Scion xB 5-Door

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I purchased a " GENUINE TOYOTA CAMSHAFT TIMING CONTROL
VALVE OEM PRIUS SCION YARIS 15330-21011 "  on ebay.  And part
arrived yesterday.
The box is opened but obviously genuine.  I checked the part and did not
see any stamp " Toyota" or " Japan " or "Denso" ( or some of those japanese
brand). It was so skeptical if the part is counterfeit??? May or may not.
The part can still be return if I needed to. I don't know if the seller can be
trust.  It d be appreciated if someone with familiar experience can point this
out.

take it to a service center and just ask, they may have a genuine part in stock you can at least look at/compare it to
