How do you remove the plastic cover over the rear passenger strut behind the rear seat?

I have a 2005 Subaru Baja and have been replacing the struts all the way around. I am stuck on the rear passenger side. On the drivers side you can access the top strut bolts by removing the jack and foam pad. On the passenger side however there is a matching cover behind the rear seat but when removed there is an obvious pocket for access but it has a hard bottom and no obvious way to remove the bottom without damage.

"The top of both rear shocks are accessed behind the rear seatback (fold rear seat bottom forward and seatback down flat). Then remove the plastic pieces (I think there are 3 pieces that have to be removed). You can then access the two nuts on the top of each rear shock.
