Hey I got an 05 Impreza 2.5rs and I was wondering
what's the best fit wheel and tire that I'm able to put
on it.

The stock wheels and tire size are about right. I doubt there is a lot of room for upgrades. Maybe one size wider and maybe wheels a 1/2" wider.

If you have the 16" with 205/55 you'll get a bit more crispness from 205/50 17, with associated increase in road sensitivity. As important is the tire choice. Get crisper V, Z or W sidewalls for best handling. The smallish footprint of the Imp works very well with the 16" setup, so I'd max out great rubber before spending $$ on 17" wheels. With the larger Legacy 17" always work better. Keeping tires at 36F/33R psi helps Subies too.
