Pending misfire concerns on subaru. No cel and not noticeable

Asked by Guru7FLC May 20, 2017 at 11:50 PM about the 2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a pending misfire on cyl 4 of my vehicle. my car is a Subaru four cylinder. I don't notice any performance issues or shaking of the engine and the CEL is not on. I plan on taking a long road trip (500 miles) in only a day. I am worried I will hurt my vehicle. Should i still go?

If you have the time change out the plugs and wires before your trip. In any case you won't hurt your engine if it develops a miss.
