How many mpg do you guys usually get?

i have a 1985 El Camino i had a 305 small block in it at first and I got about 22 M.P.G. I now have a 454 big block in it and I get about 12-14 M.P.G. obviously a lot less!

Your young, wanting to show what type of guts your car has, so expect to get from 10 to 19.5 MPG. Someone my age that bothers people on the freeway/highway will get between 18 to 20.25 on the road. Remember these cars were built when gas was under $1.50 a gal. Your mileage will depend on your driving, tune ups and if you are hauling a load of hay bales for the horses. High teens and low 20s is your expectation.

I have a 1983 with 350 a 4barrel carb and I get around 7-9 mpg

GuruZD1KB, It all depends on the condition of the transmission, the type of transmission, the reared gears, the tune-up, the condition of the carb, and the way you drive it, and if it is a computer or work truck. This is a truck, geared low to haul around 1,000 pounds in the bed. To get better milage, it will cost about $3 grand to $5 grand. after 7 years when this tread came out, I wonder if angeez74 still has the El Camino and what he did get for milage. Also your driving a heavy vehicle, and near 100% wind resistance.

I have a 1983 el camino Conquista with a big ol hotrodded 350 from a Camaro or something. I don't kid how many MPG's it gets yet, due to it being worked on. I also just got my license a while ago.

Is 78,082 5.0 V8 is good for a 1985 el Camino try see good before I buy it in a month
