The starter wire on my el camino was like
the middle of it was missing so I hooked
up another wire well when I did that and
turned the key it started to make a noise
well now nothing in the car are working at

It shorted out and burned the wire likely, that may be why it was missing, when hooking it back up it did the same thing. Are sure they are hooked up correctly, some times when another battery is used the terminal + & - are reversed on on the opposite each other. make sure you have them correct.

I unhooked the battery and hooked it back up and everything started working again until I try turning the key then they stop working until I go unhook the battery then hook it up again
