Fuel in crankcase

Can intake manifold
gaskets cause feul in
crankcase?

Your car came with a factory mechanical fuel pump, a leaking or ruptured diaphragm could leak fuel into the crankcase. The carb would have to be leaking like crazy to do this. You can check the float/needle, if fuel fills float bowl and flows into carb then into intake, it can sit in combustion chamber and leak past rings. But that's a long shot, much more likely the fuel pump.
