Good possibility the crank sensor is bad.. I would check to ensure the plugs are getting spark. If good. Un-plug the throttle position sensor and try to start the car. If it still does not crank then I would put my money on the crank position sensor.
BEFORE ELECTRONIC IGNITIONS, A BAD COIL WOULD DO THAT. SINCE THIS STUFF IS BUILT INTO THE CAP IT MAY BE THERE. RULE OF THUMB I LEARNED LONG AGO. ALWAYS LOOK FOR AND CHECK THE EASIEST STUPIDEST THING FIRST AND THAT'S USUALLY IT.
IS YOUR CAMARO EQUIPPED WITH "FUEL INJECTION"? YOUR FUEL PUMP COULD BE SENDING TOO MUCH GAS INTO THE ENGINE.{FLOODING IT}, THERE IS A CONTROL VALVE OR SENSOR THAT PREVENTS THIS. BUT IT IS NOT WORKING. AND I CAN'T REMEMBER IT'S NAME.
91 does not have anything "built into the cap".. Stand alone coil and ignition control module on both v6 and v8 fuel injected versions.. I also agree... Look for the cheapest issues first..
The fuel pressure regulator is vacuum controlled... A faulty regulator or broke vacuum line would definitely be a possibility and honestly I had not considered... Would also cause her symptom... Regarding the "control valve", I would assume you are referring to the IAC Valve... Although a faulty IAC Valve would prevent the car from idling, it would not have stalled the car while driving.
