2 relays on top of motor compartment on passenger side

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had an accident that broke me alternator bracket. I replaced the bracket,
alternator and battery. Something is draining the battery dead every night.
When trouble shooting I found a relay on the passenger side on the very top
that is melted. It's the smaller one on the right. Could this be draining my
battery. What does this relay do? Help, been dealing with this for a month
now

Any melted relay is obviously going to be a problem, either it or the wiring harness shorted. Do you have a service manual for your vehicle? That will tell you what relays you have there. My guess is a fuel pump relay, blower motor relay, and possibly a variable tuning control relay (if equipped) on passenger side, starter relay would be by battery. I would check wiring harness for continuity before putting another relay in there, otherwise you may be ruining a $25+ part.
