One of my brake lights is out despite new sockets & bulbs & parking lights ok.

Asked by ElLoboBravo Jul 05, 2016 at 06:37 AM about the 1977 Ford Granada

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced original 1977 Ford Granada tail light gear with aftermarket. Fits
loosely & slips out at times. But now one brake light will not work; signal
flashers, parking lights & headlights are OK. Checked fuses as well.
Any thoughts on what's wrong?

Inspect the sockets again those old school 1157 bulbs need attention and cleaning look at the base closely. Next. check the side that is not working for 12.6volts when the brake pedal is depressed use a multimeter.
