Stalling problems with a 1988 chevy sprint

Sounds like it could be the ignition control module or coil. The engine heat will affect the ICM when they start to go bad, and need to cool down before the engine will start again. Just take out the ICM and the coil and have them tested at an auto parts store.

If it were the catalytic converter, the engine would still run, and the engine would be holding back, no acceleration, and wouldn't be able to get over like 40 mph. The timing I highly doubt. The car starts when its cold. Do you have any more details on the problem? Like when it quits, is the engine running when it quits, just shut down or is it when you back to start it that it don't start.
When it stalls it starts to act like it's running out of gas cause it sputtered and then quits and won't start and I just went to get the car and cranked it Right up and drove it and noticed when I pushed clutch in the check engine light came on and when I let off the light went off but it comes on and off the rest of the time
The check engine light coming on and off indicates a miss fire, so the coil and ICM certainly can be involved with the problem.
Does your car have TPS ( throttle positioning sensor ) ? And if so, has it been checked?
Hola mi Sprint turbo hace una falla al acelerarlo a fondo una vez q está a temperatura normal lo forzó y el carro se apaga por instantes y se prende el check engine y si no lo forzó no hace el fallo, q podrías ser??
