2004 ford escape

My 2004 ford escape will only crank if i turn the key on and
off about 10 times. You can hear the fuel pump turn on for
2 seconds each time you turn it on. Any thoughts as to
what is wrong?

Ive already changed the fuel filter and it helped for about a week.

Sounds like the fuel injectors are dirty try adding some fuel injector cleaner to gas tank.
Ill try that and see if it works. It'd be a lot cheaper if that's whats wrong with it versus a new fuel pump.
That is the contact when you turn the key does not connect well to the last terminal. I manually put a wire at the connection and a push button.
