I have a water leak in the drivers footwell. How do I solve this please

Asked by Chiron_258 Jan 20, 2017 at 06:07 AM about the 2005 Audi A3

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I dry out the footwell go for a drive and the footwell gets wet again even though
it's not raining and the weather has been dry for the past 6 days. Could there be
water buildup somewhere in the bodywork which splaces out when the car is in
motion?

Could be a number of problems causing this. Is it sweet? Do your windows fog? If yes, than it's the heater core. If no taste and you've been driving with A/C, try not to use 1 day and see if it's a difference. If any, go under the car and you should see a rubber tube, just under the dash are. Take a wire and put it inside this tube, it probably is blocked by dirt and other stuff. This is the drain from the A/C system...
