where is the compressor switch for a 1986 toyota truck ?

I have a 1986 toyota pickup and I am having trouble finding the switch for my compressor! My ac will turn on when I hot wire it! they put in 2 kinds of compressors that year, Are the switches built in the compressor of one of these?

I believe these switches are separate, try www.car-part.com or www.rockauto.com.

You could have a blown fuse. The A/C 25 amp fuse is located on the passenger side, behind the radio. Take the glove box off to get to it. If you are blwoing fuses, as I was, your A/C clutch could be bad. I replaced mine and no more blown fuses.
