Engine sounds like it wants to turn over but won't. Have seat belt on. Doesn't sound like it
is the solenoid. Clueless. Have new battery on it AC DELCO for the 74 Maverick. Any
ideas?

Hi, I stated that it doesn't start but, it has a new battery, solenoid and I cleaned and tightened the battery ground to the motor... Should my next step be jumping over the solenoid to the starter cable and see if the starter will crank?
