help mgf missfire on a vvc 1.8

i own an mgf 1.8 vvc developed a miss fire when i was driving it compression seams ok  just put in new plugs still miss fireing am going to replace coil pack and leads next 3 weeks could any one give any ideas as to what else it could be if this doesnt solve the issue

Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail, check and if necessary replace the fuel filter and have the injectors cleaned and tested. Too lean a mixture can cause misfires too.
