Working on a 57 Ford Fairlane windshield wiper. Had the vacuum motor rebuilt but the wipers still stop halfway thru their travel. Squirted triflo on all pully shafts. Any suggestions?

The shop manual info is sketchy. Looks like a long cable under tension that would be difficult to reinstall without prior experience.

Below the wiper and cigarette lighter are two sccews holding the air duct in. Take the screws out and drop the duct down and you can reach the back of the old wiper control. REMOVE THE SCREW IN THE WIPER KNOB, REMOVE THE KNOB AND UNSCREW THE CHROME BEZEL FROM THE CONTROL AND THE CONTROL WILL COME OUT OF THE DASH. YOU USUALLY WILL NEED A SWITCH SHAFT EXTENSION FOR THE 57 TO INSTALL THE NEW SWITCH.
No answer for you. What booster are you running to clear the manifolds ? 7 or 8 inch ?? Thank you
