Will a 302 block fit on an 03 transmission??

Hi everyone I'm looking to do a rebuild on an 03
Ford Explorer Sport 2 door I was wondering will a
302 block of the same year fit on the transmission
and another how hard is it to go from computer to
carburetion

Ford discontinued the 302 (5.0) after the 2001 model year.
