i have a 03 eddie bauer and i am having problems with the a/c moving from my console vents to the defrost vents.i find this happens when i slow down or speed up. i don't know why?

it is vacume operated,under hood driver side close to back of finder you will see the vac lines and a round valve with a line pluged in both ends,cant think of the name of valve replace it and check lines for softness ,cracks,all the vac lines are rubber.just take the valve with you to get a new one,also watch how you pull the lines off the valve it is easy to replace the valve backward.
