A/C issues
Asked by 2011fordexploerguy Sep 04, 2018 at 07:08 PM about the 2011 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The air conditioner blower motor on the front
blows 1 speed constantly. Last week I change the
resistor and the fan in one day but still no change.
This is a Explorer limited with the touch screen
sync radio any idea why the fan motor blows only
one speed?

Sounds like a module issue.

And also if you hit the power button on the air conditioner is still blows air while the compressor turns off and all the lights turn off.
See the face plate that has Sony on it? That's it,One big circuit board.

As long as I go to the Ford dealership and ask for that part is this something any shade tree mechanic like myself can do or is there a lot of computer stuff behind there that would get me in over my head, thank you for your time by the way
It should pop out Its a big circuit board nothing behind.

I was just told by the ford dealership the module needs to be programmed to install a new one

Is it possible to get that temperature control module out of a wrecked vehicle that is the same year and install it into mine without having to program it?
