Car wont start , turns the motor but wont start

I dont use my opel 1600 is utility 1997
model very much as i have a motorbike to
commute.
Every second odd day , i start it , warm it up
until the fan kicks in and sometimes take it
for a ride.

The one morning it was warming up and it
suddenly died and wouldnt start again .
The motor cranks over but wont start.

Any idea what the fault/problem could be.

fuel pump. Buy a can of starter fluid and spray in the throttle body as you crank it. if it starts only when you spray it in then it is either a fuel pump gone bad or fuel pump relay has gone bad. It could Oslo be a fuel regulator or clogged fuel filter
