how do you change gas sending unit

do you have to drop the gas tank. or just remove the panal in the tunk of 1963 ford falcon . my new email address is  wilsonmaclean@bellaliant.net

No need,to drop the tank,but you definitely want to drain it,first,as the unit is at the bottom,front of tank..
