reacently a cabel from the air cleaner box got loose and got damaged. since then the "check engine" light is on, but so far the car seems to be working fine, since i wont be using the car any more in two monts, should i get it checked out or can i save the money?

repair the wires and reset the light. if it comes back on, you may have damaged the sensor they connect to. what code are you getting ?
